Controversial child model stars on Jalouse cover

People Post

Nearly three years after Thylane Blondeau posed in a provocative spread for Vogue Paris when she was just 10 years old, the child model has landed her first ‘grown up’ magazine cover.

Wearing a knitted sweater and with her hair tied up in a high ponytail, the 12-year-old is hailed as the ‘new Kate Moss’ on Jalouse magazine’s April cover.

The model, who has starred in campaigns for Lacoste and walked the runway for Jean Paul Gaultier, took to her Twitter account to share the news with a behind-the-scenes image from the shoot. Paris-based, Ivory Coast-born Thylane first rose to fame after she was cast in the Tom Ford-edited January 2011 issue of Vogue Paris — one of Carine Roitfeld’s last at the title.

The beauty-focused editorial featured Thylane wearing heavy make-up and gold stilettos as she posed seductively on leopard print bed covers.

The spread ignited widespread controversy that accused the fashion industry of sexualising children. Thylane is the daughter of Véronika Loubry, an actress and television presenter, and former Sheffield Wednesday and Watford footballer Patrick Blondeau.

Ready to pop!

She is reported to be expecting her second baby any day now.

And pregnant Drew Barrymore was certainly showing off a sizeable baby bump as she stepped out on Saturday with her 17-month-old daughter Olive.

The 39-year-old actress planted a loving kiss on the happy youngster after lunch in an upmarket Los Feliz restaurant in Los Angeles and seemed to have no trouble balancing the tot on her large belly.

Drew looked ultra casual in a pale blue striped shirt and black jeans while she wore her wavy hair loose over her shoulders and no make-up.

Little Olive was cute as a button in a striped sweater, blue trousers and brown sandals and seemed happiest when in her mother’s arms. There was no sign of Drew’s husband of two years, art consultant Wil Kopelman, 37. Drew announced she was pregnant with her second child in November and confirmed she was having a baby girl just a month later.

Cop in training

He is known for thoroughly researching and preparing for his roles, which have in the past earned him a BAFTA for his role as Solomon Northup in 12 Years A Slave.

British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor looked like he was in the midst of training for his next project, as he was spotted looking significantly buffer and more muscular whilst out for a run in LA on Monday.

The 36-year-old actor has been revealed as part of the cast of actors who are set to star in cop drama Triple Nine, and by the looks of his toned physique, the actor was taking his new role seriously. Ejiofor is awaiting the beginning of production on Triple Nine, which tells the story of a group of gang members and a corrupt cop, who plan the murder of a police officer in order to pull off their biggest heist yet across town. The film’s title Triple Nine is police code for when an officer needs immediate assistance, which indicates that the British actor may be getting in training for an action-packed role. Aaron Paul, Kate Winslet, Michael B. Jordan, Teresa Palmer, Casey Affleck and Michael Peña have also been named in the line-up for the cop-themed flick.
