RED STRIPE LAUNCHES 1 LITRE BOTTLE
Jamaica is known for being a trailblazer in many areas. Now the local beer market can be acknowledged for another first. Jamaica’s leading beer, Red Stripe, has unveiled a new one-litre packaging with plans to have it in trade by month end. The new bottling was officially revealed to the public at an event in Congrieve Park Portmore last week.
The company was only producing a 275ml bottle.
According to Racquel Nevins Brand Manager Guinness, this new bottle is ideal for sharing among friends and is available in both Guinness stout and Red Stripe.
“Our consumers spend a lot of time hanging out with friends and sharing their Guinness. We are introducing this size to make the celebrations better, making it easier to share Guinness with friends,” Nevins said.
“Guinness prides itself on being different and world class. This launch is historic in Jamaica as the first 1Litre beer, truly signalling that Guinness is a brand that is Made of More,” she added.
Rory Burchenson Innovation manager Red Stripe reveals that the new one litres are important to enhance the sharing culture of consumers.
“We have embarked on a journey to create a great consumer product that will enhance the sharing culture of our consumers as they celebrate with friends. The Red Stripe and Guinness 1Litre bottles will become the centre point of consumer experience at all our events. There will be no change to the great taste of the products that our consumers have grown to know and love. The only difference will be the opportunity to share the product with friends”, Burchenson said.
With this new innovative and attractive 1L bottle, patrons will be able to enjoy a serving of four drinks per bottle. This allows customers to ‘Share a Beer and build a vibez’ with Red Stripe and Guinness at the affordable price of $500 and $400 respectively.
The consumer feedback has been great, Rory Burchenson Innovation manager Red Stripe revealed.
“Small Guinness normal, big Guinness more than normal,” said Sheldon Bennett an avid stout drinker at the recent Congrieve Park event.
This new and attractive bottle is also returnable and customers are encouraged to take full advantage of the $50 refund for every bottle returned to Red Stripe.
