Carib Cement open winning account in Business House domino
CARIB Cement Company opened their winning account with a 154-143 victory over Division Two champions Cari-Med in the third round of the National Association of Domino Bodies Kingston & St Andrew Region Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum Business House League last Friday.
Having lost to Cari-Med in last year’s Division Two final, Carib Cement Company turned the tables to get off the mark.
Meanwhile, Jamaica Gleaner Company spanked host Wray & Nephew 158-125. It was the third win from as many games for the victors.
The other teams with a perfect record in the top division are National Baking Company, who crushed Courts Sports Club 143-111, and Berger Paints Jamaica Limited, who stopped Jamaica Brandy 146-137.
In other games, defending champions Seprod schooled UWI Domino Club 132-123 and Kingston Wharves defeated JUTC 138-107 at King Port Building.
In Division Two, Jamaica Observer and National Commercial Bank (NCB) maintained their perfect start to the season.
Jamaica Observer defeated Flow 133-113, while National Commercial Bank had a narrow 116-113 victory over Transport Authority.
In other results, Kirk Distributors Limited edged Ministry of Finance 149-145 in a high-scoring game; Pepsi-Cola Jamaica blanked Nutrition Products 155-130; Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) stopped National Housing Trust (NHT) 139-120, and Petrojam blew away First Heritage CCU 145-132.
Round four takes place today with a full slate of games in both divisions.
National Baking Company host Wray & Nephew Limited at 43 Half-Way-Tree Road, Jamaica Gleaner Company welcome Car-Med, Courts visit Carib Cement Company, Seprod entertain Jamaica Brandy, Kingston Wharves journey to Berger Paints Jamaica Limited, and JUTC are at home to UWI Domino Club in Division One action.
In the lower league, BOJ host Kirk Distributors Limited, Ministry of Finance welcome Pepsi-Cola Jamaica at 30 National Heroes Circle, NHT visit Nutrition Products Limited, Transport Authority are at home to First Heritage CCU, Jamaica Observer travel to Petrojam at 96 Marcus Garvey Drive and Flow entertain NCB.
