New Zealand arrive in Jamaica for regional series
MONTEGO BAY, St James — The touring New Zealand cricket team arrived in the island on Sunday and headed directly to Trelawny where they will spend a week in preparation for their tour of the Caribbean.
The Kiwis team arrived in two sets at the Sangster International Airport and will open their tour with two practice matches against a Jamaican XI at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium.
They will play a two-day game Thursday and Friday, then a three-day game next Monday to Wednesday.
The New Zealand team will play three Tests and two T20 games on tour of the Caribbean. The first Test will be played at Sabina Park, June 8-12, the second in Trinidad, June 16-20 and third in Guyana, June 26-30.
The T20 games will be played in Dominica on July 5 and 6.
