Clare Forrester remembered as media stalwart
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Chief Judge for the Jamaica Broilers Fair Play Awards of Excellence, Professor Hopeton Dunn, today remembered veteran journalist Clare Forrester as a “media stalwart”.
Speaking at the award ceremony held at the Terra Nova hotel in Kingston Professor Dunn hailed Forrester for her “significant contribution to the profession of journalism”.
“First let me extend my condolences to the family of Clare Forrester, a Jamaican media stalwart and a former judge of these awards,” said Professor Dunn. “Clare made an outstanding contribution to the profession of journalism, to her country and to the wider region.
We are grateful for having her and for having shared the memories with us,” Professor Dunn said.
Forrester died on Monday evening in Florida after a long illness. She was 69.
