‘Herbert’ seek another double in school basketball
SPOT VALLEY, St James — Herbert Morrison Technical will seek another double over Spot Valley High when they meet in an ISSA Western Conference high school boys basketball fixture at Spot Valley High today.
Herbert Morrison had won both games in their first meeting and will start favourites to repeat today.
Herbert Morrison are unbeaten in the Under-16 section with 10 straight wins and sit atop the tables, while defending champions Spot Valley are in third place on 13 points from nine games.
Herbert Morrison are further down the ladder in the Under-19 section, on 13 points from five wins and three losses, same as Cornwall College, who three points more than Spot Valley.
Also, Cornwall College and William Knibb will also meet in a double-header at Cornwall College for the first time this season.
Cornwall College are in second place in the Under-16 section on 16 points from nine games, well ahead of William Knibb, who are on four points from three games.
The Under-19 game should be close, however, and William Knibb could have the edge with their superior offence.
