Lessons From Tao
Practitioners of yoga had what could be described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the cashmere-chic Round Hill Hotel & Villas on Tuesday as Tao Porchon-Lynch, the world’s oldest yoga instructor at 96 years of age, conducted a master class. Yogi enthusiasts in attendance — totally oblivious to the heavy rains outside of the confines of the Hanover Room — drew inspiration from the French-Indian yogi, dancer, oenophilist, former model and actress as she – drawing from her life experiences — offered hope and shared words of wisdom, at all times conveying her mantra “There is nothing you cannot do”.
Tao demonstrated her mantra by executing yoga poses unbelievable for her age.
Post-yoga session guests interacted further in between sips of vino, which is incidentally one of Tao’s favourite things to do, — and exchanged views with the woman who once walked with Ghandi.
Saturday Social takes you inside the master class.
