Clarendon, Trelawny, St Mary teams announced for LIME Street Futsal
Telecommunications firm LIME has announced that the following teams have been selected to compete in the parishes of Clarendon, Trelawny and St Mary, as a national call continues for entries in the inaugural LIME National Street Futsal Competition, which will kick off in March.
The tournament format comprises four outfield players and a goalkeeper in the competition that will feature bigger goals. More than 250 teams from 14 parishes, as well as the Portmore municipality, will do battle over 10 weeks for a share of over $1million in cash and the title of National Futsal Champions. Teams are required to purchase $1,000 credit with their applications.
The parish of Clarendon will see Flamingo All-stars vs Mineral Heights Strikers; Africans United vs All-stars; Pleasant Valley FC vs Un Equip FC; Stubborn Kiddz vs Morgan’s Pass Football Club; Young Star vs Full Force FC; Pump House FC vs Scheme FC; Link Up FC vs Emmanuel Strikers; and Street Star vs Young Bloods.
Over in Trelawny, Clarke’s Town FC will oppose Dream Team; Duke Street Strikers vs T-Squared; Trelawny Young Strikers vs Firehouse; Joe Hut FC vs Sherwood United; Pepper United vs MOB United; Police Falmouth vs Wait-a-bit; Wellington Strikers vs Princess Street Trelawny; and The Gunners Force will tackle Dromily FC.
Meanwhile, Police FC will go up against English FC; Greenbay FC vs Grays Inn FC; Sand Side FC vs Islington FC; Albion Mountain vs Ravishing; Star Cosmos vs Axum FC; Friend Ting vs Windsor Castle; Grass Root vs Arsenal FC; and Islington Kickers will battle Three Hills for the title of St Mary parish champions.
Teams from the parishes of Manchester, Westmoreland and St Elizabeth will be able to register on February 13. Registration can be done at Super J Cellular Services, Willowgate Plaza in Mandeville; LIME Savanna-la-Mar, Beckford Plaza on Beckford Street, and Super J Cellular in Santa Plaza, Santa Cruz, respectively.
