Man commits suicide after chopping girlfriend
MANCHESTER, Jamaica – The Manchester police are confirming the death of a man who allegedly drank poison at the Mandeville Regional Hospital after earlier chopping his girlfriend and then taking her to the hospital.
Police say the incident unfolded “sometime between” Tuesday night and early Wednesday.
Reports are that the deceased – from the Alligator Pond area of South Manchester – first chopped his girlfriend and then drove her to the hospital.
He then reportedly went to the bathroom and drank from a bottle he had in his pocket. He died shortly after.
