Boys’ Club ambush Sandals Whitehouse in Western Confed Super League
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Mid-season champions and leaders Sandals Whitehouse were surprised by Montego Bay Boys’ Club 3-0 in their Jamaica Football Federation Charley’s JB Rum Western Conference Super League return-round game played at the UDC field on Saturday.
The win avenged Boys’ Club’s 2-0 loss in the first-round and ended Sandals Whitehouse’s run of seven games without a loss, including the mid-season finals.
On Saturday, Boys’ Club produced one of their best displays this season and got their biggest result as they held their own against the leaders and title favourites.
Glenroy Williams gave the home team the lead in the 24th minute with his sixth goal of the season, arriving at the far post just in time to power in a cross from Rushane Reid.
Reid made it 2-0 in the 54th minute with a shot from outside the area that flew into the top of the goal.
Anthony Drummond added another in time added to complete a good win.
