Why are my orchids dropping buds?

Here are a few possible reasons.
1. Have you recently changed their location?
This could be one reason.
2. Have they been exposed to smoke? Yet another.
3. How’s the humidity? If too low, then this might be the reason.
4. Too much light could also result in dropping buds.
5. Too strong chemicals: fertilisers and insecticide.
6. Finally, insects.
A careful process of elimination ought to get to the root of the problem.

Most of us who purchase orchids are clueless about their upkeep. It might be a good idea to put growing instructions on the card.
