Seba look to move to top in rescheduled match
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Seba FC could move back into the top two of the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL Senior League when they take on Montego Bay United Under-21 in a rescheduled game at Jarrett Park this afternoon, starting at 4:00 pm.
The game was originally set for Friday, but was put off due to a waterlogged field at Jarrett Park.
Seba FC have not played since they were surprised by Heights FC just over two weeks ago and are in fifth place on six points from three games. Montego Bay United Under-21, meanwhile, are on one point, also from three games and are in second to last place.
On Friday, Norwood Strikers won in the Senior League for the first time in three years after blanking Heights FC 3-0 at the UDC field.
Norwood Strikers won the Senior League two years ago and earned promotion to the Western Confederation Super League, but spent one season there and returned this season.
They failed to win in the first three games, losing one and drawing the other two encounters before beating promoted Heights FC on Friday.
In another game on Friday, Melbourne FC edged Little Miami 2-1 at the Montego Bay Community College.
Christopher Johnson bagged a double for Norwood, scoring in the 20th and 75th minutes, while Kemar Reid scored in the 63rd minute as they moved to five points in mid tables.
Davian Brown also got two goals for Melbourne FC in the 13th and 40th minutes, enough to hold on for the win after Dawain Hemmings pulled on back for Little Miami in the 44th minute.
