PAGE 2 MARCH 18
Rastafarian fashion designer Mamayashi — a go-to wardrobe source for many of the hottest acts on the roots-reggae circuit — debuted her Black Star Blue Moon collection on Sunday night at Nanook, the relaxed creative space that’s become a haunt for Kingston’s cool hipsters. Drawing militant inspiration from Marcus Garvey and the softness of femininity, Mamayashi’s line was the subject of lusty applause from the intimate gathering that were also entertained by musical performances by Tuff Like Iron, Samory-I and Jah 9. Page 2 shares scenes.
