Accused cop in guns-for-drugs trade remanded, again
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A police constable assigned to the VIP Protective Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) implicated in the guns-for-drugs trade was this morning remanded when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.
Constable Kenneth Reid is to return to court on August 18.
Reid and his co-accused Sheldon Walters and Kerry-Ann Smith were charged on May 29 under the Criminal Justice Suppression of Criminal Organisation Act 2014 and the Anti-Gang Act.
All three were charged for being members of a criminal organisation.
Reid is facing an additional charge of providing a benefit to a criminal organisation.
