#BEIJING2015: Jamaica claim 2 gold medals on day 8 – Photos

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s 4x100m men and women today delivered two gold medals to bring the medal tally to 11, moving Jamaica into second place on the medal table.

The women quartet clocked 41.07s, smashing the championship record of 41.29 made in Moscow, to win ahead of America and Trinidad and Tobago.

While the men comfortably claimed their gold medal in a time of 37.36 seconds.

Jamaica now have six gold medals, two silver medals and three bronze medals.

Kenya is at the top of the table with 13 medals, while the United States is in third place with 16 medals.

Kenya also have six gold medals with four silver medals and three bronze medals.

The United States have five gold medals, five silver medals and six bronze medals.
