Cops arrest man after finding illegal gun, ammo at premises
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – One man was on Sunday arrested after a Browning 9mm pistol and more than 40 rounds were found in his possession in Jerusalem Mountain, Grange Hill, Westmoreland.
The police have not released his name, saying instead that his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police are that about 6:15 pm, lawmen conducted a search of premises in Jerusalem Mountain and found the weapon as well as 16 9mm rounds and 31 .38 rounds of ammunition.
The man was subsequently arrested.
