Branded – Simone Abrego

Sales & Merchandising Manager Frozen Delights Distributors Limited

Thursday Life (TL): How did you land this job?

Simone Abrego (SA): In July 2006, I heard of the vacant position of a merchandising supervisor at Frozen Delights Distributors Ltd. My objective was to seek employment in an organisation where my skills and participation would contribute to the growth and development of said organisation thus facilitating professional growth. Upon conducting my research on the company I recognised that it was compatible with the attributes I was seeking – and here I am.

TL: How long have you been in this job?

SA: I have been employed at Frozen Delights Distributors Limited for nine rewarding and enjoyable years. I started out as the merchandising supervisor and within six months I was promoted to sales development officer, and soon after, to my current position as sales and merchandising manager.

TL: What’s great about your job?

SA: First, customers’ total satisfaction! At Frozen Delights we go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our customers are pleased. It’s rewarding when customers repeat purchases due to the quality of service and products that they receive from us. Second, it is also gratifying when I am able to contribute to my company’s success and by extension assist each employee under my leadership to achieve their personal goals.

TL: What attracts consumers to your brands?

SA: The brands we distribute are well-recognised worldwide and this speaks to the quality and demand of the products. We are diversified in our selection of brands as we understand the importance of market trends, and our objective is to keep abreast of those trends by providing healthy, delectable, nutritious products, thus satisfying the needs of our customers.

This objective guides us in selecting brands like Emborg. Emborg takes real pride in quality…a delicious meal starts with natural ingredients.

Emborg selects their ingredients based on where they have the best weather conditions. With expertise and passion, they make sure that their quality meets the consumers’ requirements for real taste.

Emborg plays an important role in the lives of families all over the world. They are present at the table at one of the most treasured moments of everyday life: dinnertime. This is a responsibility that both Emborg and Frozen Delights recognise and value, and we take the job of ensuring an enjoyable and tasty dinnertime experience for everyone in the family seriously. We do it without compromising on any parameter, in order to meet the high expectations of discerning consumers – both children and parents. Providing wholesome products is at the centre of the core values of the Frozen Delights and Emborg relationship.

Emborg…Bring the real taste home

TL: Where can consumers find out more about your brand?

SA: Our knowledgeable and friendly customer service team can be contacted at 927-9646/927-5382 or visit our website at www.frozendelightsja.com or on Facebook.

TL: Tell us something we might not know about your brand?

SA: Emborg is known for its attractive packaging and variety of fresh frozen vegetables and natural cheeses. First and primary objective is to ensure that they earn the trust from all their customers by bringing quality meals to families worldwide. All over the world, more and more people are demanding tasty, healthy food. With this growing demand comes the aspect of comfort. Emborg offers delicious and enjoyable products with high nutritional value and consistent high quality at affordable prices.

In 2011 Emborg was awarded the prestigious status of Superbrand, followed by the years 2012, 2013, 2014 and again in 2015. With pride, we can now say that Emborg has been awarded Superbrand five years in a row and we are happy to have partnered with them to distribute this brand to customers in Jamaica. The Superbrands organisation is acknowledged worldwide for being an independent authority and arbiter of branding excellence and is committed to paying tribute to exceptional brands and promoting the discipline of branding.

TL: Do you have any additional news you wish to share with your customers?

As you may be aware, September is celebrated as ‘Cheese Month’ and Emborg will be executing promotions in conjunction with this celebration. We will be in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay on September 26, 2015 and Kingston on September 19, 2015.

Also, Emborg currently has a promotion running where you purchase the Emborg Power Panda Cheese and drop your receipt in the box provided at the participating supermarket to win cash prizes. The promotion started August 24, 2015 and ends October 9, 2015.

For more information about our promotions, please contact Frozen Delights at 927-9646/927-5382 or visit our Facebook page: www.facebook/frozendelightsdistributors.com.
