Seanizzle does it his way
THIS is sixth of a 10-part series on the ‘Generation Next’ of Jamaican producers.
Music producer/recording artiste Seanizzle is pleased with the progress of his album, Music My Way, since its release on August 21.
“The feedback is tremendous and I am getting reviews from places where reggae and dancehall music isn’t dominant. There are listeners in places like Israel,” he said. “I am really happy, as the aim was to captivate the four corners of the world and reach places where the music isn’t that popular.”
Music My Way comprises 18 tracks, including two interludes. Seanizzle is also executive producer of the album which features some of dancehall’s biggest acts, such as Demaro who does Destiny, Dexta Daps (Cheat on You) and I-Octane with Ride and Whine.
Bugle, Jahvinchi, Vershon, Konshens, T-Nez and Pressure Buss Pipe each have a song on Music My Way.
“With this project, I highlight a mixture of genres. However the dancehall element is always predominant in each single. I did this as a means of showcasing my talent,” Seanizzle explained. “I wanted fans to know that I am not just a dancehall/reggae producer, but one that will fit in any area I am placed in.”
Seanizzle, whose given name is Sean Reid, is from the Molynes Road area of Kingston. He has been producing music for 10 years.
He emerged in 2005 with the Reverse ‘riddim’ which featured Beenie Man’s Reverse The Ting and Tony Matterhorn’s Sidung Pon It.
Other productions followed including 2010’s One Day which featured songs by Khago, Mr G, Beenie Man and ZJ Liquid.
