Minor change to PNP’s National Executive Council
ST ANN, Jamaica — The People’s National Party National Executive Council has largely remained the same following the party’s executive meeting, which was held at the Gran Bahia Príncipe Hotel in St Ann on Sunday.
Chairman of the party’s executive Robert Pickersgill was returned to the position with all other executive members also retaining their posts.
In fact, in an interview following Sunday ‘s private meeting, Pickersgill said the chairman, deputy chairman and all candidates were unopposed and so the selection process was smooth.
“That was done smoothly because as it turned out we did not have more than 11 nominees,” Pickersgill said, explaining that there was only one candidate for each position.
Wentworth Skeffery was added to the list of deputy general secretaries, making him the fourth deputy general secretary.
