Dreaming The Code doubtful for SVL Pick-3 Super Challenge Trophy
Trainer Carl Anderson has disclosed that his talented filly, Dreaming The Code, is in doubt for the Pick-3 Super Challenge Trophy, the second leg in the Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) – sponsored Two-Year-Old Triple Crown Series, to be run on November 28.
Anderson said that the bay filly has not fully developed and may need time to mature.
“Right now we are not sure whether or not Dreaming The Code will run in the second leg of the SVL Triple Crown Series, the Pick-3 Super Challenge Trophy on November 28,” Anderson told the Complete Racing Guide.
“We kind of put her down and are now taking her up slowly because she has not fully developed as a two-year-old as yet. There is still further development to be made and we are taking our time with her going through the steps.
“With advice from veterinarians, we are taking it easy with her and in a couple of days we will again check up on her and see how she has progressed and if all is well, maybe she will race, but at this moment we are not sure,” he explained.
The Pick-3 Super Challenge Trophy is scheduled to be run over 1,400 metres and, according to Anderson, the distance won’t be a problem with the bay filly by Coded Warning – Seaofdream by Law of the Sea.
“Based on her breeding, I think that Dreaming The Code will get a distance of ground; seven furlongs is not a problem for her,” he said.
Dreaming The Code made an impressive debut on October 31 when she outstripped her rivals to win commandingly by 12 lengths, without breaking a sweat going 1,100 metres.
Ridden by Harriston Lewis, Dreaming The Code covered the distance in a fast 1:06:0 minutes.
“It was an excellent performance from Dreaming The Code. She ran as expected and it was a marvellous victory. She showed class and talent and I think she will develop into a nice horse,” he declared.
