Faulkland FC face Boys Club in Captain’s KO
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Promoted Senior League team Faulkland FC will face Western Confederation Super League team Montego Bay Boys Club at Jarrett Park in a second round St James Football Association’s Captain’s Bakery and Grill Knockout game, starting at 3:00 pm.
Two games were originally scheduled, but the contest between Red Stripe Premier League leaders Montego Bay United and Copperwood FC has been rescheduled to Friday at the UDC Field.
Faulkland FC, who have earned promotion the last two seasons will test their mettle against the Super League team that drew a first round bye.
Montego Bay Boys Club lost their opening game away at Petersfield on Sunday and will hope to find form against the young, hard-running Faulkland FC team.
Two teams booked their quarter-final places on Monday, Melbourne FC and Tomorrow’s People with wins over Mountain Villa and Catherine Hall, respectively.
At Albion, Androcle Poyser scored four times for Melbourne FC in their impressive 4-0 win over Mountain Villa.
Poyser scored in the 5th, 70th, 72nd and 90th minutes to knock out the Barrett Town-based team..
At the UDC Field, Tomorrow’s People also advanced to the last eight eliminating Catherine Hall FC 1-0, thanks to a goal in the 65th minute from Marcel Whyte.
