On Saturday, December 12, Ministry of Labour civil servant Tamara Campbell wed her Prince Charming, Pro-Printers proprietor Craig Gordon, at a beautiful ceremony at the Hotel Four Seasons in Kingston. Vows introduces Mr and Mrs Craig Gordon.

Craig and I have known each other since we were both teens. From the age of 13, to be exact. My mother was employed at his father’s business place, Imeru Limited, and I would stop by from time to time to see her. There was mutual attraction from the very first time we laid eyes on each other. I was too young at the time to be in a relationship, so we didn’t start dating until I completed high school in 2000.

I like to call Craig the inventor of spontaneity and romance; he’d send bouquets of flowers on random days just because, and the usual elaborate Valentine’s Day gifts were quite attractive and unexpected. In addition, he’s a family man with a warm and loving persona. We’ve had our ups and downs and have parted ways for a while before, but the power of our love could not keep us apart; this is our fate. He proposed to me in Portland at Frenchman’s Cove beach last year, around February; it was so beautiful. We were walking back from a swim, just before sunset, when Craig pulled me close, hugged and kissed me, and then went down on one knee. I stood and listened as he professed his love for me before asking me to marry him. I was in shock and over-the-moon excited, especially since our friends were cheering him on and screaming behind us. After all my hooting and hollering, I said yes.

My plan was to get married in 2016, but Craig didn’t want to wait any longer; he wanted me to be his wife before 2015 ended, and here we are.

…was an intimate gathering inside the Alexander Suite of the Hotel Four Seasons. Marlon Banton created a fantasy with colours of wine and gold. Over 50 family friends witnessed the nuptials, officiated by Pastor Horace Aiken. Craig wore an ivory Brioni suit with a wine red vest and bow tie, while the groomsmen wore wine red vests and ties from Beautiful Brides & Mr Tux. Here and Now. They were followed by flower girls Adrianna Bembridge, Giselle McIntosh, and Parris Kelly. A few seconds later, mini bride and groom Dekanya Webb and Fior Kelly emerged, making their way to the altar, ahead of Tamara’s appearance. She was absolutely gorgeous in a Sophia Tolli sweetheart diamond white trumpet gown from Bliss Bridal Boutique. Her hair was pulled back in a curly pom-pom with a diamond tiara on her crown. Diamonds glittered at her throat and in her ears, and she clutched a cluster of wine red and ivory calla lilies. Turning Page’sSleeping At Last played as she, escorted by her uncle Eustace Todd, made her way to meet her groom. A few minutes after being declared husband and wife, Tamara and Craig signed the wedding registry whilst trombonist Calvin Cameron provided a musical interlude. Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville’sAll My Life was played as the two left the altar under a bridal party tunnel.

The decor by Marlon Banton featured centrepieces with tea light candles floating in liquid gold. There was a large portrait, on entry, of Craig and Tamara that guests signed along with a registry. The wedding party entered to an instrumental of Magic’s

Rude. Moments later, Craig and Tamara danced their way into the Alexander Suite to lusty applause and the band’s original track. During a three-course dinner, catered by the Hotel Four Seasons, a projector displayed scenes from the couple’s most precious moments together, including the engagement at Frenchman’s Cove beach. Guests were teary-eyed after seeing Tamara’s overwhelmed response. Her mother Lillieth Webb and her aunt Rose Williams unveiled the three-tiered fruitcake display by Marlon Banton, ahead of toasts to the bride and groom. The two shared their first dance to LJ Reynolds’Tell Me You Will. Following this, guests released paper lanterns into the sky. Craig is keeping plans for the honeymoon under wraps.
