February movie releases 2016
Hail, Caesar!
When George Clooney’s character (also a movie star) gets kidnapped, the people who try to find him have to do so discreetly, for fear of causing mass hysteria. The search is further complicated by talk of time travel and the future. But while one trailer presents the movie as a mystery, another, more recent trailer presents it as a comedy.
As confusing as that may be, one thing’s for certain, if you’re into old Hollywood or you don’t mind spending maybe two hours looking at George Clooney, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum on the big screen, this movie is for you.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
It’s all in the title, fam. Echoing much of the talk read about in Jane Austen’s 1813 novel P
ride and Prejudice but somewhat creatively adding the undead and subsequently necessary warfare, this is not only a horror film but also a history lesson. If only History class were half as interesting as this film’s trailer looked.
How To Be Single
Not quite a romantic comedy, (more along the lines of a movie about finding yourself and having fun with your friends) this movie looks like a fun watch with a bunch of your gal pals. It also doesn’t hurt that Rebel Wilson, who’s known to be ‘laugh out loud’ funny, plays the best friend helping an innocent navigate the world of hook-ups, booze and hang-outs in New York City.
Pro Tip: If you’re single maybe you should grab a pen when you’re on your way to the theatre to watch this.
Triple 9
Dirty cops, money, car bombs, the mafia, high powered weapons….yup, we’re in.
