Denbigh, Holmwood top ISSA netball awards
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Denbigh High School and Holmwood Technical High School today walked away with the top awards at the 2015 Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Netball Presentation Ceremony at the Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston.
Denbigh claimed the All-Island Rural Junior award, while Holmwood received the All-Island Rural Senior award.
Kelly Scott, who plays centre for Denbigh, was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Rural Junior League and Shanice Walker and Christine Bartley of Denbigh were named best coaches in the Rural Junior League.
Holmwood’s goal defence, Shanniel Davidson, was named MVP in the Rural Senior League, while Karlen Graham of Holmwood was best coach for the Rural Senior League.
Other major awards went to Gaynstead High School (All-Island Urban Junior) and Camperdown High School (All-Island Urban Senior).
