MONTEGO BAY, St James — Fire House FC have finally been quenched after they were beaten for the first time this season in the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL Division One, going down 0-1 to Club Stars at the UDC Field on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Fire House are still leaders of Zone One of the competition, but Club Stars moved to within a point of them on eight points.
Terrick Dixon’s goal in the 50th minute, his fourth of the season, was enough for Club Stars to get their second win of the season as they are now the only unbeaten team in the zone.
Also on Thursday, Seaview FC got their first win in smashing style, hammering Salt Spring Roses 7-2, coming from a goal down at Flankers in a Zone Two game.
Jermaine Irvin scored his first hat-trick of the season, netting in the sixth, 38th and 49th minutes, while Daima Heavens and Mickanel Ricketts both got braces.
Nyron Williams had given Salt Spring the lead when he scored in the third minute, while Marvin Brown got the other in the 31st minute to cut the deficit to 3-2 at the time.
