Jamaica table tennis team departs the island for California

KINGSTON, Jamaica — In preparation for the 2016 World Table Tennis championship in Malaysia later this month, the Jamaica table tennis team departed the island Tuesday for California, United States, where they will play two practice matches.

They are expected to enrol in a training camp from February 14-16 before competing against Top Spins Table Tennis Club on February 19 and Alameda Table Tennis Centre on February 20.

The Jamaica team consists of Michael Hyatt (captain), Mark Phillips, Kane Watson, and Christopher Lewis.
