Crates party series stacks up accolades
IT was a massive turnout of patrons attending Crates the Series held at Fantasy Beach in Priory, St Ann, recently.
According to Dushaine Higgins, Crates the Series founder, the three-year-old event has grown since its inception.
“Over the years, Crates the Series has grown. We started out with the intention to bring a high level of entertainment to our patrons. We bring top selectors each week and non-stop fun and entertainment. We hope it will continue to grow as time progresses,” Higgins told the Jamaica Observer.
Hosted every Wednesday at Fantasy Beach, there is no cover charge to attend Crates the Series. Its recent staging saw sound systems Hyperactive Sound and Illusion Sound in top form.
Patrons attending gave the event the thumbs up.
“I’ve been coming to Crates for a little over a year now and trust me, the vibes really nice. It is the only party I go to each week,” she said.
Ohio-based couple Charles and Marnie Quinn who came to Jamaica to escape the cold temperatures up North were impressed.
“We have been hearing about the Jamaican dancehall scene and we wanted to experience it for ourselves. A friend of ours at the hotel brought us here and so far it’s been quite an experience,” said Mr Quinn, with his wife nodding in agreement.
Kadian Brown, promotions manager at Red Stripe, said his company is happy to be a part of the series.
“From inception, Crates the Series has been a high-consumption event and we just saw it fit to come on board. We look forward to continue being a part of it,” said Brown.
