Consistency is key, says Humble Lion’s coach
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Vassel Reynolds, coach of Humble Lion, says consistency will be significant in the teams’ hunt for a semi-final berth in the 2015/16 Red Stripe Premier League.
The Clarendon team secured its second victory in the last five outings on Sunday with a hard-fought 2-1 scoreline over Tivoli Gardens at Edward Seaga Sports Complex.
The win pushed fourth-placed Humble Lion’s tally to 39 points from an overall 26
games.
But, with the newly promoted UWI FC breathing down their necks in fifth place on 37 points, Reynolds is adamant that the team must improve its level of consistency.
“I am very proud of the fight from the team, but consistency must be on our agenda. We looked at the last eight games and we said that we wanted to win the first four and we want to go on a run,” he said. “But we keep drawing games and depending on teams behind us and we need to set the pace for ourselves.”
