Friday Night football gaining momentum, says KSAFA
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The initiative to stage football games on a Friday night is sparking interest across the Corporate Area, according to Kingston & St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Assistant General Secretary Dwayne Dillon.
He said last Friday’s mid-season final of the Charley’s JB Rum/KSAFA Super League played under lights at Constant Spring field is an indication of progress being made.
“The mid-season final on Friday was a success. We had a very entertaining game supported by music and entertainment from sponsor Charley’s JB Rum. It was well supported and spectators were not disappointed,” Dillon told OBSERVER ONLINE.
Maverley/Hughenden FC beat Browns Town FC 2-0 inthe final thanks to goals from Wayne Williams, in the 16th minute, and Phillip Peddie (65th).
The next Friday Night Super League fixture is scheduled for March 4.
