RSPL season not done yet, Tivoli manager vows to fight
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Brian Rose, manager of Tivoli Gardens FC, is optimistic that the team will avoid relegation despite their poor run of form in the 2015/16 Red Stripe Premier League.
Rose made the declaration in an interview after the West Kingston team suffered a 1-2 defeat to Humble Lion at Edward Seaga Complex on Sunday.
The former champions are in 10th position on 29 points from 27 games and is currently in danger of falling into the drop zone.
“The season is not over as yet; we still have seven games to go and we have to make sure that we get some maximum results from those games to stay in the top 10. That effort will be continuing as we go along and we expect the players to come out willing to work and willing to sacrifice so that the team don’t go down into relegation zone,” said Rose.
Tivoli Gardens have played more games than Rivoli United and Waterhouse FC who are at the foot of the 12-team standings on 22 points each, from 25 and 26 games, respectively.
