KSAFA Major League football round-up
Zone A leaders Molynes United FC continued to press for Super League promotion by extending their unbeaten run of games to seven, defeating Allman/Woodford FC 2-1 in the Charley’s JB Rum/Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Major League at Molynes Gardens playing field last Saturday.
Patrick Shecklude scored a goal in each half to preserve the Calvert Fitzgerald-coached Molynes United unbeaten run and also maintain their lead at the top of the standing, eight points clear of nearest rivals, Constant Spring FC, on 13. Both teams were locked at 1-1 at the break after Michael Isaacs of Allman/Woodford had cancelled Shecklude’s early strike. However, Shecklude made the points safe for Molynes with his second-half goal.
In other Zone A games, Oniel McDonald and Rainard Bent scored a goal each to help Constant Spring FC defeat Stony Hill 2-1 at Stony Hill, while Duhaney Park and Pembroke Hall drew 2-2 at Duhaney Park.
In Sunday’s matches in Zone A: Red Hills and Cooreville Gardens drew 1-1 with a goal each from Rolando Thompson for Red Hills and Lincoln Cassells replying for Cooreville Gardens. In Zone B, Greenwich Town defeated New Kingston 1-0 on a goal from Michael Sinclair; Police National clipped JDF by a similar margin with a goal from Tyrone Eccleston, and Olympic Gardens beat Central Kingston 2-0 with goals from Adrian Davis and Kimani Morgan.
