Gibson/McCook Relays: Stage set for explosive boys’ class one 4X100m final
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The stage has been set for an intriguing clash in the high school boys’ class one 4X100m relays final at the Gibson McCook Relays now under way at the National Stadium.
There was not much to separate the main contenders, but it was Calabar High that continued to set the early fractions and was the fastest to qualify in 40.64 seconds.
St Jago High were the second fastest with a time of 41.06 seconds and Kingston College’s 41.08 seconds also helped them secure a favourable lane draw for the final.
Cornwall College (41.15 seconds) and Jamaica College (41.23 seconds) were the next best qualifiers.
The final is scheduled to be run at 5:12 pm.
