Dr Love appeals to Heads of Gov’t
Singer Dr Love makes an impassioned plea to legislators to tackle widespread poverty in Jamaica on his latest single, Heads of Government.
“There are a lot of things going on in the country which need to be addressed… the cost of living getting high, the poor are getting poorer every day, Government not looking out for the poor people. They let the Chinese into the country only to increase our suffering,” said Dr Love, whose real name is Christopher Wallace.
To illustrate his concerns, he recently filmed the video for Heads of Government in May Pen, Clarendon. It depicts endemic poverty and an eroding infrastructure.
The 33-year-old artiste was born and raised in rural Lluidas Vale in Ewarton, St Catherine. He has strong political views.
“People have lost hope in their government, they have failed to provide a system to stop young kids from wiping car glass windows, and getting involved in gangs. The Government needs to do better,” said Dr Love.
