Jamalco, Sporting hunt second win in quarter-final round
HAYES, Clarendon — Action in the quarter-final round of the Clarendon FA/Captain’s Bakery Major League continues today with Jamalco FC chasing a second win on the bounce.
The title holders blanked Comfort FC 3-0 in their opening quarter-final game on Sunday and will now take aim at Original Hazard.
They will Original Hazard will meet at Old Paisley in one of two Group One games set to begin at 3:30 pm.
The other match-up will see Sporting Central Academy hosting Comfort FC at the Toll Gate Community Centre.
Sporting, following a 2-0 victory over Original Hazard on Sunday, courtesy of strikes from Duhaney Williams and Otis Friend, will also be hunting their second successive victory.
Meanwhile, New Bowens FC lead Group Two ahead of Kemps Hill FC on goal difference.
The former champions defeated Moores United 2-0 in their first quarter-final outing on Saturday, while Kemps Hill edged past York Town FC 2-1 on Sunday.
New Bowens travel to York Town tomorrow, while Moores entertain Kemps Hill.
