US-based hurdler Hart added to Indoor Champs team

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A second men’s sprint hurdler has been added to the Jamaican team to participate at this weekend’s IAAF World Indoor Championships to be held at the Oregon Convention Centre in Portland, Oregon, starting on Thursday. 

The University of Florida’s Yannick Hart has been added to the team taking the total to 25 athletes, 13 females and 12 males who will take part in the four day championships. 

The official entry list on the IAAF’s web site included Hart who will contest the 60m hurdles along with national champion Omar McLeod. 

The former Manning’s School and Wolmer’s Boys standout has a season and personal best 7.71 seconds in the event.
