Boys’ and Girls’ Champs 2016: Calabar’s Taylor sets his second meet record
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Calabar’s Christopher Taylor continued his phenomenal vein of form as he established his second record at the 106th staging of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championship now under way at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Taylor, 16, a short while ago clocked a blistering 20.80 seconds to win heat one of the boys class two 200 metre semi-finals. He lowered the previous nine-year-old mark of 20.89 seconds set in 2007 by Ramone McKenzie also of Calabar.
The World Youth 400m champion only two days ago established a new mark of 46.33 seconds in the heat of the 400-metre.
