#Champs2016: Kimone Shaw sets Class Two 100-m record
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Kimone Shaw of St Jago lowered the girls’ Class Two 100-metre record on her way to victory at the 106th staging of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium on Friday.
Shaw clocked a blistering 11.40 seconds in a positive 0.8 metres per second wind speed to win the girls event, lowering the seven-year-old mark of 11.46 seconds set in 2008 by Jura Levy.
Khamoy Farquharson (11.62s) of Edwin Allen and Shaneil English (11.68s) of St Jago were second and third, respectively.
