Man dies of ‘natural causes’ in prison

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Department of Correctional Services is reporting that an inmate at the Towner Street Adult Correctional Centre died this morning in the hospital section at the institution.

The deceased, 47-year-old Hector Lamb, reportedly died of natural causes.

Lamb was admitted in January 2015 and was serving an eight-year sentence for robbery with aggravation and five years for illegal possession of firearm.

The Department of Correctional Services says Lamb’s family has been informed of his death, and the Elletson Road police have been notified.
