Major leak disrupts water supply in sections of Kingston — NWC
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) says customers in some sections of Kingston are now without water or are experiencing low water conditions because of a “major leak” on the 21-inch main in the vicinity of Stanton Terrace, Kingston 6.
The NWC is advising that repair work is currently in progress and that every effort is being made to have supply restored by 12 noon, tomorrow.
The company has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The affected areas, according to NWC, are: Mona, Cross Roads, Mountain View, Old Hope Road, Hope Road, Devon Square, Waterloo Road, Cassia Park, Eastwood Park, Red Hills Road, Below Grants Pen, Half Way Tree Road, Upper Maxfield Avenue, Zaidie Gardens, Dunrobin Avenue, New Kingston, Liguanea, Mona Road, Ravin, Pines of Karachi Relift # 1 & 2, Long Mountain Country Club Tank, Pines of Karachi, Beverly Hills Tank # 1 & 2, and the upper section of Beverly Hills.
Other areas include: Vineyard Town, Cavaliers Reservoir (Marescaux Road), sections of downtown, sections of Trench Town, Glenmore Road Booster, Windward Road, Rockfort, Harbour View, Shooters Hill Booster, Shooters Hill, airport, Port Royal. and the Kings House Booster.
