ADMINISTRATIVE Professional OF THE YEAR – ST ANN Chapter
Kaydian is a past student of Westwood and Iona High Schools, eventually graduating as Valedictorian for the class of 2004 at Iona. Her Tertiary level education began at the Brown’s Town Community College in St. Ann where she studied the Arts and Social Sciences. While at Community College, Kaydian held the position of Student/ Tutor and served as a writer for the Jamaica Observer Teenage column.
Kaydian moved on to the University of the West Indies Mona, more specifically the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) in 2008 reading for a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media and Communication with a major in Public Relations, completed in 2011 (Hons).
She now serves as the Public/Community Relations Officer at the St. Ann Parish Council a positioned she has held for the past two years. Kaydian is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Governance for the Parry Town Primary School, she sits on the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Committee for the Parish and is a member of the Jamaica Cancer Society.
A trained public speaker and aspiring motivational speaker, Miss Harty has addressed students at her Alma Maters on various issues.
Her philosophy is ‘you are either going to be inspired or intimidated by me.’
