‘Person of interest’ in March Pen massacre to be questioned tomorrow
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are reporting that Marvin ‘Fat Man’ Campbell, who is currently in custody in connection with the deaths of three children and two adults in the March Pen community of St Catherine, on October 9, is to be assigned legal aid counsel because he cannot afford a lawyer.
The police said that he is to be questioned at midday tomorrow.
Campbell is also in custody on charges of incest, two shootings and arson in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
It was reported that five people were killed after a group of heavily armed men, including some dressed as police officers, went to a yard in the community which housed two separate homes, and shot the occupants before setting fire to the houses on fire.
The incident subsequently led to Campbell being listed as a person of interest.
He was turned over to the police by Bishop Rohan Edwards on October 12.
