AW Fashion: ‘Country Come Town’

Fashion designer, stylist and creative director Dexter ‘3D’ Pottinger left many nodding in approval even as they applauded lustily his latest collection ‘Country Come Town’. The line, unveiled in the Formal Gardens of Devon House on Thursday, October 27, at the Jamaica Yellow Pages Fashion Directory, was an apt finale for the Jamaica Observer Takes Style Out shopping extravaganza.

The 3D designer, known for his unique style and eccentric melange of colours and fabrics, drew inspiration from his calico bag line — also shown on the runway — as he added a new style ethos to the fashion sensibilities of country folk. His visually appealing work incorporated prints and solids accessorised with calico bags and woolen pom-poms. “I have never seen any other designer incorporate woolen pom-poms in their line. I added them in an effort to create an allusion of juvenescence in the urban area,” Pottinger toldAll Woman Fashion.
