Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre comes alive this evening with Redemption Live, a free concert hosted by Digicel and Red Stripe in honour of Bob Marley’s 72nd birthday.

Slated to perform are top local and international acts including Ky-Mani Marley, Beenie Man, Capleton, Richie Spice, Kabaka Pyramid, Garnet Silk Jr, Jah9, Tifa, Ikaya, and Devin di Dakta.

The event is the curtain- raiser for the week-long celebrations that will start on February 6 with a Birthday Breakfast at the Bob Marley Museum on Hope Road in St Andrew.

The theme, vibe and melody cater to people from all segments of society, and so we look forward to seeing as many of them out in the big square living up to the vision of unity that Bob Marley always envisioned,” said Kamal Powell, senior sponsorship and development manager at Digicel. “So it’s a huge part of what we do every year and our customers love it. Over the years it has grown from strength to strength and this year we look forward to another memorable event.”

The concert will be streamed via Digicel Jamaica’s Facebook page, CEEN TV which covers the Caribbean, Canada and the USA, as well as via the Catch 2 channel in Digicel Play markets and on the Play Go streaming app.

The annual concert is free to the public. Patrons may also support the Eira Schader Home for the Aged in Trench Town with the purchase of a VIP ticket at the gate for $5,000.
