Gerald Alston for Jamaican show in July
Soul singer Gerald Alston, best known as lead vocalist of The Manhattans, is scheduled to perform in Jamaica in July.
The concert is co-sponsored by the Jamaica Observer.
No date has been finalised, but Alston says the show will be a tribute to Winfred “Blue” Lovett, co-founder of The Manhattans who died in December 2015.
Alston will be accompanied by backing vocalists Troy May and David Harvey.
The classic Manhattans line-up performed many times in Jamaica. Their hits include Kiss And Say Goodbye and Shining Star.
According to Alston, “there will be something for everyone” at the upcoming show.
