Gas prices down 12 cents, diesel down 8 cents
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists should see a decrease at the pumps in the prices of gasoline and diesel, effective Thursday, March 9, according to the latest ex-refinery costs from Petrojam.
87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $98.04 and $99.70 per litre, respectively, down by 12 cents each.
Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $96.45 per litre following a decrease of eight cents, while ultra-low sulphur diesel is down by five cents, and will be sold for $104.55 per litre.
Meanwhile, kerosene decreased in price by 17 cents and will be sold for $87.71 per litre.
Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $37.43 per litre, down by 15 cents and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $43.47 per litre after a decrease of 18 cents.
Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark-up to these prices.
