Woman accused of killing lover due for court this week
OCHO RIOS, St Ann — The woman accused of the fatal stabbing of her common-law husband at their home in Hampstead, Runaway Bay, last week is expected to face the St Ann Parish Court this week.
The accused, Tiffany Grey, 27, was charged after her common law husband was stabbed to death on the night of Sunday, February 26.
Police reported that the two had a dispute at their home in Hampstead Runaway Bay when 49-year-old Garfield Brooks was stabbed. Grey, police said, left the home with her two children for a family member’s home after the incident. She later returned and called the police when she realised Brooks was not moving. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Head of the St Ann Criminal Investigation Branch, Deputy Superintendent Richard Hylton, said Grey will be taken before the court later this week.
