Jamaica first stop on UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour
Heineken will bring the excitement of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) to Jamaica this month with a slew of premium events on the prestigious UCL Trophy Tour.
Through its Champion The Match campaign, the beer brand is set to deliver an exciting schedule of activities.
The four-day event, which takes place from March 20-23, will give fans the rare opportunity to interact with the coveted trophy. With stops in Panama, Colombia, Egypt, India and Vietnam, the tour is expected to draw thousands of football fans and Heineken adorers.
Jamaica is the only Caribbean island which has been selected for the UCL Trophy Tour.
“UEFA is one of the largest football franchises in the world, so we’re very excited about the opportunity to give local fans the trophy tour experience,” said Suwannee Stewart, brand manager for Heineken. Trophy Tour events have been planned for key locations including the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston, Margaritaville Ocho Rios, Fyah Side in Clarendon, and Pier One in Montego Bay.
“This is a fan-powered tour and Heineken wants to give Jamaican fans the ultimate UEFA Champions League experience,” said Stewart. A team of UCL officials and UCL ambassador will accompany the trophy. In addition to official UCL memorabilia, fans will see the trophy up close and take photos with the ambassador.
