TARRUS Riley was the toast of Saturday’s live performance segment at the ATL Automotive’s free car show, dubbed Revolution, at its Oxford Road, St Andrew facility on the weekend.

The singer, who dedicated his performance to the female guests, was a hit among them.

“Dem say wha day yah was International Women’s Day, but mi nah stop big up the women dem,” said Riley before belting out the lyrics to his hit song She’s Royal. The crowd sang along in unison.

His nearly half-hour set comprised tracks including the John Legend cover Stay With You, Michael Jackson’sWhy, Just The Way You Are, Beware, and In My Going Out.

Delighted at the crowd’s participation, Riley would pay tributes in praise. “Big up the Tarrus Riley choir!” he exclaimed.

He would subsequently do Free Up Yourself, with his ‘choir’ filling in for deejay Zaga. The choir also filled in for Konshens in Good Girl Gone Bad; and Ellie Goulding in Major Lazer’s Powerful.

He ended his well-received set with Gimme Little One Drop.

Prior to Riley’s entry, the audience was entertained with abbreviated sets by emerging acts Denyque and Tosh Alexander. The latter connected with her audience with Cuz It’s You and Ready Fi Dem, complemented with two back-up dancers.

Adam Stewart, CEO of Sandals Resorts International and the ATL Group of companies, said the concert was a birthday gift to the public.

“This is our 20th birthday anniversary … One Love and ATL appreciates you,” said Stewart.

The three-day Revolution auto show ended last night.
