Danny Sprang banking on his new Fat Gal
England-based dancehall deejay Danny Sprang is currently in the island promoting his latest single Fat Gal. He was seen on one of his promotional blitz in Montego Bay, St James, handing out CDs.
He has already been to Kingston and St Catherine. “Fat Gal is a counteraction to Style X’s hot song Me Love My Fatty.
I want to make all the fat girls feel proud of themselves in the dancehall, so this is just one of the reason why I am in Jamaica trying to get some of the recognition,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Released in Jamaica February of this year, Fat Gal is on the deejay’s Danny Sprang Entertainment label. He said he is aiming to get his break on this year’s staging of Reggae Sumfest, scheduled for MoBay on July 16-22.
Christened Theophilus Ferguson, Danny Sprang is from Old Harbour in St Catherine. He migrated to England in 2010.
His other singles include Smart Phone, Jamaica Jamaica, and Gimmi Gal.
