Man in custody after police discover sub-machine gun

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man was yesterday taken into custody after the police discovered a sub-machine gun during a raid in St Catherine.

Reports from the Brown’s Hall police are that lawmen conducted the raid at premises in St Faith district at about 9:39 am and seized an AP sub-machine gun and two rounds of ammunition.

The man was taken into custody in relation to the seizure but his identity is being withheld pending investigations.
